Created by Margot and Lauren, Wildly Calm is an invitation to unplug, unwind, and reconnect—with yourself and the wildness within. This retreat offers a sacred space to rest, recharge, and rediscover your inner calm through intentional movement, self-inquiry, and deep reflection.
Each day will be thoughtfully curated with opportunities for growth, yoga, quiet healing, and meaningful connection. We honor the balance between stillness and vitality, grounding and expansion. Participants will be gently challenged to explore their bodies, open their hearts, and cultivate connection—with others and, most importantly, themselves.

MARGOT BROOM, ERYT 900 Founder Breathing Room
Known as a teacher’s teacher, Margot is celebrated for her wisdom, clarity, and grace. With over 20 years of training in asana, philosophy, Ayurveda, Reiki, Vinyasa, and Iyengar, she brings depth, precision, and heart to every class. Her teaching helps practitioners of all levels feel truly welcomed, while making even the most intricate aspects of yoga accessible, empowering, and deeply relevant.
Her journey began in early adolescence when she was first introduced to yoga, sparking a lifelong path of self-study rooted in both spiritual philosophy and the rhythms of modern life. By 22, she completed her first teacher training, stepping fully into a vocation that has grown steadily over two decades.
Out of both loss and inspiration, Margot founded Breathing Room—originally a small studio tucked in the back of an antique shop in New Haven. Fueled by vision and community, it grew into a beloved hub for practice and transformation. Now located on Crown Street in downtown New Haven, Breathing Room proudly celebrates its 17th year in 2025.
Margot’s classes are soulful, challenging, and rooted in the full experience—philosophy, precise sequencing, good music, and an open invitation to be wholly yourself. Her teaching draws deeply from lived experience, offering a space where students grow with grace, grit, and authenticity.
Beyond the studio, Margot serves as Chair of the Board for the Town Green Special Service District of New Haven, where she actively advocates for public art, safety, social justice, and community connection.
LAUREN SELTZER, LMFT, CEO/Owner, Educational Resources Unlimited
With over 17 years of clinical expertise in educational, private practice, and residential therapeutic settings, Lauren Seltzer, LMFT has an established reputation for helping families and young people reach their potential. She brings to her practice a passion for integrative health and wellness, incorporating mindfulness-based skills (DBT) and self-care, as well as a robust background in the family systems approach.
Lauren believes in forming meaningful and trusting relationships with families from the very beginning. Her approach is integrative, highly-individualized, and tailored to the unique needs of every young person. Through open dialogue and an intimate knowledge of the integrity of every program and school she suggests, Lauren's recommendations are made with intention and thoughtfulness while addressing the singular needs and wants of each family. With her clinical expertise, Lauren works with the family to identify areas of concern, develop diagnostic impressions, and recommends treatment that best meets the individual needs of each young person and their family.
ERU serves children and young adults of diverse backgrounds who are seeking alternative educational options or to expand the possibilities of their current programming. Lauren works with students from elementary through high school and post graduation, and can provide referrals to supportive day/boarding schools for young people with learning differences, emotional growth schools, therapeutic boarding schools and residential treatment centers. For some individuals, a short term intervention such as a wilderness program, hospitalization or rehabilitation placement is needed as a first step. She also works with young adults (18+) who are making the transition to adulthood, and can suggest a variety of postsecondary options, as the road to adulthood doesn’t always begin with a college education.
