Intro to Ayurveda

INTRODUCTION TO AYURVEDA
This ancient wisdom evolved in India around 5000 years ago and is considered to be one of the world's oldest, continually practiced forms of healthcare. Ayurveda translates to "science of life.” This practice aims at creating deeper harmony between body, mind, and spirit through awareness in diet and lifestyle practices.

Many people call Ayurveda the "sister-science" to yoga. Learning the foundations of this ancient practice compliments our yoga practices as well as implements routines into our life that will optimize health and connection to the self/the divine.

In this virtual workshop we will:

  • Begin by learning what Ayurveda is

  • Discuss foundational principles of the practice such as the 5 elements and the 3 doshas

  • Explore constitutions and what they look like in a balanced and imbalanced state

  • You will leave with tips and tools to begin incorporating this ancient wisdom into your life.

*The workshop is online and suitable for all skill levels.
