Jamie

Jamie Belton is a trauma-informed yoga teacher and birth/postpartum doula who offers

heart-centered movement rooted in compassion, care, and community. She completed her

200-hour yoga teacher training at Bhakti Yoga DC, where she studied the devotional Bhakti path

through vinyasa, and is currently pursuing her 300-hour certification at The Breathing Room.

Her teaching is shaped by a deep respect for yoga as a healing practice—physically,

emotionally, and spiritually.

In each class, Jamie weaves together strength-building, breath awareness, and emotional

presence to support students in reconnecting with their bodies and honoring their own pace. Her

approach is grounded in the belief that movement can be a pathway to self-trust and

self-liberation. Drawing from her experience as a doula, she holds space with a nurturing

presence, helping others navigate transitions both on and off the mat.

Jamie is especially passionate about creating accessible and inclusive spaces for all bodies and

backgrounds. Outside the studio, she facilitates wellness workshops, shares yoga and

resistance training with elders and underserved communities, and curates soul-soothing

playlists. Her greatest teacher these days is her young nephew Cam, who reminds her to stay

curious, present, and playful—on the mat and in life.
